What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Local storage (used on this site for cookie consent) stores data in your browser without expiry until cleared. Pixels or tags may be used by marketing tools to measure whether you opened an email or visited a page—only if you consent to marketing cookies.

We do not set analytics or marketing cookies until you choose Accept all or enable those categories in Cookie settings. Choosing Reject leaves only strictly necessary storage active.

Third-party cookies

If we enable tools such as Google Analytics or advertising platforms, those providers may set their own cookies subject to their privacy policies. We configure such tools to minimise data where possible and use only after consent. A current list of third-party tools in use is available on request by email.

How to manage your choices

Do Not Track

Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. There is no single NZ legal standard requiring a particular response. We treat non-essential cookies as off unless you consent through our banner, regardless of DNT settings.

New Zealand Privacy Act 2020

We follow the Information Privacy Principles: we collect cookie-related data for clear purposes, store it securely, allow access and correction where it constitutes personal information, and retain it only as long as needed. See our Privacy Policy for retention periods and how to contact us (response within 20 working days for privacy requests).

GDPR (European visitors)

Where GDPR applies, non-essential cookies are used only on the basis of your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time with the same effect as rejecting cookies. You have rights described in our Privacy Policy, including complaint to an EU supervisory authority.

Updates

We may change this policy when we add or remove tools. The “Last updated” date will change. If we introduce new categories that need consent, we will ask again through the banner where appropriate.
